Run a crew of AI coding seats that share one memory.
Howiedoo turns several AI coding sessions, on several machines, into one team. You hand out the work. The seats do it, hand it back for review, and keep one board up to date. You stop copying text between terminals.
What it does
- One memoryEvery seat reads and writes the same memory. What one learns, the others know.
- One rulebookEvery seat starts with the same rules and checks itself before it works: its code is current, its tools answer, and it proves what it can and can't do.
- Work without copy-pasteA job lands in a seat's inbox. The seat claims it so no one does it twice, does the work, and hands it back as a change that has to pass its tests before it goes in.
- One boardEvery seat writes to the same live board: what's being worked on, what's waiting on you, what's done.
- Secrets stay out of the chatCredentials go straight into the commands that need them, never into a transcript.
- Your machinesIt runs on computers you own. Your memory stays yours.
Where it is
In daily use, not installable yet. Howiedoo runs every day on its maker's three machines. Nobody else can install it yet.
What's coming
- A one-command install. The first machine sets up; each extra machine joins with an invite.
- No homelab needed. A regular git host and your operating system's keychain are enough.
- Windows first, then macOS and Linux.
- The crew tools, open source under the MIT license.
